Introduces students to the concepts, definitions, and techniques that are applicable to the modeling and simulation of systems; both continuous and discrete systems simulation methods are covered.  Topics include system characterization, classification and modeling, pertinence of concepts from probability and statistics, and introductory description of suitable programming languages.
