1712  Boolean Algebra And Computer Logic

Introduces the student to the basic ideas of computer elements and logical design techniques and to the principles of computer hardware organization.  The course presupposes no background in electronics or engineering, and stresses logical, rather than physical, aspects.  Topics covered include Boolean algebra and its application to logical design, logic circuits, computer arithmetic, functional units of digital computers, and basic computer organization.
